A monthly overview of the most interesting business aviation insights – April 2025.
New month, new data — it’s time for April’s look at business aviation from above!
Each month, we take a closer look at what’s happening in the skies: where flights are taking off and landing the most, which routes are busiest, which airports are standing out, and which jets are getting the most use.
In this April edition, we’re breaking down the latest trends. From Europe’s most active airports to the planes spending the most time in the air, here’s what the numbers show.

Let’s take a look at April’s numbers, thanks to our partners at the EBAA. With the first quarter now behind us, flight activity kept climbing. April saw even more action in the skies, marking a busy start to Q2. A total of 1,079 airports saw 55,894 arriving flights — a clear rise from March, as both business trips and spring travel helped keep traffic strong.
April brought another strong month for business aviation, with 4,492 aircraft active across the skies. Turboprops once again led the pack, recording 14,500 arriving flights. Light Jets came next with 9,917 arrivals, followed by Super Light Jets with 7,024. As spring travel gained momentum, the steady rise in both business and leisure flights continued to drive demand upward.
Paris Le Bourget continued to lead the way in April, welcoming 2,133 arriving flights — a top choice for business aviation. Nice Côte d’Azur climbed into second place with 1,266 arrivals, showing strong seasonal demand. Geneva Cointrin International followed closely with 1,242 maintaining its spot as a key hub. These consistently high-traffic airports remain essential gateways for both corporate and leisure travel across Europe.
April continued the upward trend in air traffic, signaling that business travel is in full swing. With winter firmly in the rearview, flight activity picked up across the board — driven by a mix of corporate agendas and seasonal demand.
A notable shift this month: Nice Côte d’Azur moved into the second spot among Europe’s busiest airports. As spring set in, the French Riviera became a prime destination, attracting both leisure travelers and professionals heading to conferences, events, and client meetings. Meanwhile, Paris and Geneva remained key centers for high-volume business travel, with private and chartered flights keeping their runways active throughout the month.
April didn’t bring a dramatic spike in traffic, but steady growth in business aviation kept things moving upward. One notable event, AERO Friedrichshafen — the major general aviation trade show in Germany — helped draw attention and activity to the region, reinforcing Europe’s role as a hub for aviation innovation and networking.
Meanwhile, top airports like Paris, Geneva, and the rising Nice Côte d’Azur continued to serve as key links between business centers and seasonal hotspots. It’s another sign that corporate aviation is not only back on track, but gaining altitude as 2025 progresses.
